Using a Slash Remover in Cross-browser Testing
A slash remover can be useful if you're doing cross-browser testing. For example, if you're writing unit tests for a web application that receives data from a shell script, then that data may be shell-escaped or in other words, it may have backslashes in it. A string like "hello world" with quotes will appear as \"hello world\" or even \\\"hello world\\\". With this utility, you can remove these slashes and unescape the string. Additionally, if you're working with data that was previously slash-escaped, then this program can quickly fix it and you'll get clean data back.
